Turkish FM Hakan Fidan to Visit Austria for High-Level Talks

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to visit Austria for an official two-day trip on April 29–30, where he will hold discussions with senior Austrian and international officials on bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments, according to diplomatic sources.

During the visit, Fidan is expected to meet Austria’s Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger to review ties between the two countries and discuss areas of mutual interest.

He is also scheduled to be received by Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker and to hold talks with Feridun Sinirlioglu, the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

In addition to official meetings, Fidan will deliver a speech at the Vienna School of International Studies and is expected to engage with representatives of Turkish civil society organizations based in Austria.

The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of bilateral issues, including political cooperation, economic and trade relations, military and security ties, as well as cultural and humanitarian matters.

Fidan is also anticipated to emphasize opportunities for expanding cooperation in key strategic sectors such as energy, digital transformation, connectivity, and the defense industry.

He is further expected to underline Türkiye’s focus on supporting the Turkish community in Austria, stressing the importance of their integration, well-being, and protection of their rights and interests.
